MJW X SVNR SCARF
MJW X SVNR SCARF
SVNR collaborates with stylist Mecca James-Williams for a special capsule dedicated to Jamaica. Representing a celebration of her heritage and honoring the island in the present, proceeds will go towards Free Winnifred, an organization dedicated to keeping Winnifred a free public beach open to locals.
A note from Mecca: My ode to Jamaica is rooted in honoring my ancestors as well as my future and finding my creativity to connect the diaspora in the here-and-now. Jamaica is a magical place where nature meets spirit- it’s my happy place. Winnifred Beach is where my late grandmother journeyed, and 20 years later here I am. This place calls me back every moment, and I’m finally connecting the dots of why! Thank you Jamaica for the healing.
19" Square: A bandana, upgraded.
Wear with a slipdress as a matching face covering, neckerchief or headband.
34" square: Versatility is a virtue.
This square scarf can be worn as a headscarf, a bandeau top, over the shoulders or around the neck and even as a beach coverup.
Resistance-dyed in green, yellow and black as a nod to the colors of the Jamaican flag, 100% silk, hand-dyed, and square scarf with cowrie shell detail on the corners.
Dyed to imperfection. Variations in color are part of the unique and natural charm of hand dyeing and not to be considered a defect.
